Workout Recovery Oatmeal

There’s no secret that I love my oatmeal- especially after a tough morning workout (or before one depending on the time that I workout!). The major secret to my oatmeal is that I make sure to add healthy fat and protein to make it a more balanced and satisfying meal that powers me for the day.

To help me add extra healthy fat/protein I love to add ingredients to the oatmeal like nuts, coconut, chia seeds, or even almond butter- but you can also add protein like eggs, salmon, or turkey sausage alongside the oatmeal too. Alternatively you can also try serving this oatmeal with 4-6 oz of your favorite protein smoothie for an even more balanced and pro-recovery meal.
